We’re back! A tiny 10 day tour is underway, and our first stop was in Milwaukee for Summerfest! This festival was right on the water, with so many outdoor activities. Paddle boats was definitely the first thing we wanted to do, so we hopped aboard with an hour rental. Flash forward 5 minutes and legs were burning, so it was a fun but short lived voyage. The boat company also had wind powered boats that we played with afterwards, and that was the winner of the day. Then we went to the ferris wheel and had corndogs….living our best lives.

The next day we woke up in Grand Rapids, MI. The only museum opened on Monday was the Grand Rapids Public Museum, which the boys loved! Jonathan Berlin’s (Johnnyswim guitar player) son Zia is on the road with us this tour, which Joaquin is absolutely loving. Zia is seven, and Joaquin wakes up asking where he is…BFFs. On our walk to the museum we took a pitstop at Madcap Coffee and got a much needed latte and kids coffee for the boys (steamed milk with vanilla). I think we spent over 2 hours in the museum. Their favorite room was the room filled with retro toys and games, including and arcade and a classic hit…the slinky toy. Check out a video of our trip below!
