Joaquin & Friends Museum Guides: The Omaha Zoo
During our morning research of what to do in Omaha, we decided to take a trip to the children’s museum. Although, after going to a local coffee shop we were told by the baristas that we HAD to go to the zoo. Amidst the heat, we hopped in an Uber and were on our way! We had no idea that this was one of the best zoos in the country, and from the moment we walked we realized why. A sky lift took us across the park, literally over the animals wondering around. This was the coolest way to see the zoo, and gave us a great look at the lions. As you can tell, the giraffes were our favorite part. The boys got to feed them, which I flipped out over (they’re my favorite animals). The huge dome in the middle of the zoo was also super cool. It’s feels like you’re in the desert with red rocks, sand, and cacti. There’s also a lot of animals openly moving around, so it feels super natural. Even though we took a break from the heat every two seconds, it was totally worth the trip and so much fun!
